(Feb 17) The region of Marche is present in these days at BioFach in Nuremberg, international fair of organic agriculture. “Despite the difficulties related to increasingly fewer resources available, we provided a regional support for this important event, to put on show one of our excellences. The German market is particularly advanced, with a deep attention to organic agriculture, and being here is a great opportunity for the production of our region”. So said Paolo Petrini, alderman of agriculture, who visited the regional stand and the pavilions of the exhibition, to catch new realities and trends of the sector. “In this edition – continues Petrini – the region of Marche is one of the very few to have confirmed its presence at the event, a sign of the importance given to the biological agriculture, even for its touristic attractiveness and general image”. The organic agricultural sector has a consistent importance in the context of regional agricultural production, with the presence of a diversified range of products, from pasta to preserved, sweets, pizza, oil and, last but not least, wine. This year, moreover, the region of Marche is also represented by a footwear company, with a line of footwear products made with natural and certified materials. A way to combine the traditional excellence with the new trends of the market. (Roc)
