(8 Mar) – In the last movie by the Italian director and actor Carlo Verdone there is a female star who doesn’t appear but can be heard. In addition to a series of classics songs by The Doors, Steppenwolf, Scott Walker, and the original instrumental soundtrack of the Italian band Stadio, there are two songs – “Therese” and “Dans un instant, dans quelque temps” – both sang by Angelica Ponti. “I was in Brazil when Gaetano Curreri and Fabio Fornili (lead singer and guitarist of the Stadio) contacted me to sing in the soundtrack. I was really happy, because I appreciate their work and all the Verdone films. They sent me two songs for which I wrote the lyrics in Sao Paulo”. So speaks Angelica Ponti, a French-Italian songwriter, who performs in the soundtrack of “Posti in piedi in paradiso”, in theaters from last weekend and with a 3 million euros gross in just three days. “Working with Gaetano Curreri and the Stadio was a wonderful opportunity and the beginning of a friendship”, Angelica concludes.
