(Mar. 22) – The promotion campaign of Sardinia continues in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe with shows and workshops in Gothenburg and Moscow. Proposals on holidays in the Italian island are on display until March 24 at the 19th edition of the MITT, the most important event focusing on the Russian market and in the top five fairs in the world. It will be an opportunity to encourage further tourist flow in Sardinia. The other opportunity comes from the fair in Gothenburg, where the region of Sardinia will participate from today and until March 25. From Sweden – as stated by the Regional Tourism Office of Sardinia – presences are in a constant growth, from 67,187 in 2009 to 81,375 in 2010, up to 105,517 last year, registering an increase of over 40% between 2009 and 2011. “The interest of Swedish travelers – said the councilor Crisponi – is also pointed out by their massive presence at the Alghero workshop in the last October.” At the TUR in Gothenburg, the most important trade fair in Scandinavia, will also be held a workshop with Sardinian operators accredited by the Regional Tourist Office.
