(Mar. 23) – Sensacional, a nonprofit organization involved in international development cooperation, has launched through digital channels “Progetto Scuola 2”, the completation of a kindergarten in the village of Masigira, in Tanzania. Sensacional aims to help the most disadvantaged populations in innovative ways, giving more prominence to the ideas born on-site. Working in complete transparency, Sensacional has the goal to meet the real needs of affected communities and promote their economic and social independence. It is currently active in several countries (Argentina, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, Cambodia and Tanzania) with projects ranging from the fields of education and training to those concerning health, social entrepreneurship, art and culture. In Tanzania, the project “Un villaggio nel cuore, un villaggio del cuore” was already underway in Ilula, and it will provide the construction of a clinical analysis laboratory for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of major endemic diseases, like malaria and HUV. In Masigira, in southern Tanzania, where the “Progetto Scuola 2” is going on, Sensacional has already built a kindergarten. The basic structure is completed, but there are still many works to do. The target, as well as to provide an efficient structure for the Misigira children, is to create a school model for all other villages in the area. To promote this project, Sensacional used the great potential of the Web, creating a character on its Facebook page, whose name is Mjenzi wa Ndoto, aka Ndoto, which in English means “dream builder”. He reflects some of the fundamental values of the association: he is a concrete and professional person who is not afraid to work hard and look further. (Sis/Peg)
