(Apr. 2) – The visit of the Minister of Environment, Corrado Clini, scheduled for Wednesday, will launch the next stage of a project to transform the Embassy of Italy in Brasilia in a laboratory for sustainable experiences. The plan includes the transfer to the PV system installed and the start of a data collection on energy savings that will be presented at the International Conference ‘Rio +20’ next June.
During the visit of the Italian Minister, it will be signed new agreements between the Embassy, the Energy plant in Brasilia, the University of Brasilia for the solar industry and the Watr Company of Federal Discrict Brazil (CAESB) for saving wetlands and aquifers. The project will also serve the Brazilian authorities, who may use the information collected to draw a technical and financial feasibility study for future projects.
The agreement will allow the study and validation of data on consumption and savings, with a view to acquiring a certificate of efficiency of the photovoltaic system. Following the agreement, all the lamps and bulbs will be replaced by LED ones. (Sis/Peg)
