(21 May) “It is essential to be there because this mission has gained a huge interest from the participating companies and the Brazilian authorities.” So spoke Gian Mario Spacca, President of the Marche Region, about “Missione Governo, Regioni, Sistema Camerale”, an Italian initiative sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the regions, with the support of ICE and the national Chamber System. Spacca and his region will lead the Italian regions’ delegation in Brazil: “The Marche region has a great responsibility because the mission has attracted more than 700 companies coming from the whole Italy. Among these, about 200 were selected looking for the demands of the Brazilian market. Expectations are very high and the Marche Region has worked with great determination to rise the occasione.” Marta Dassù, Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry, will lead the government’s mission, which aims to further strengthen economic and trade relations with the South American country, promoting the penetration of Italian companies in a market that is the 6th largest economy in the world and the second of the Americas. The Marche’s delegation is one of the largest with 20 companies participating: “In the current economic climate, the internationalization of small and micro enterprises is strategic but not so easy for our economy. The Marche region is working hard to achieve this result and actually we are the first manufacturing region in Italy in relation to population, and the 10th in Europe.” The mission will visit São Paulo, San Josè Dos Campos, Curitiba, Santos and Belo Horizonte and Santos, and it will feature bilateral meetings, visits to regional production centers and B2B meetings with selected local counterparts.
