(Jun. 14) – Emilia Romagna gets closer to China. Alfredo Bertelli, Undersecretary to the Presidency of Emilia-Romagna Region, has received a Chinese delegation of Shanghai Municipality, as part of a meeting dedicated to policies measures related to the spin-offs, incubators and young companies. “The meeting,” underlined Bertelli, “represents a further element of the promotion program of the region and the strengthening of our bilateral relations.” The economic system of Emilia-Romagna has been present in China for several years with its excellence and in the various productive sectors. About 90 companies from the Italian region have direct investment in China. Exports reached about 850 million euros in 2011, confirming a constant growing foreign trade. Emilia-Romagna has long been committed to implement systemic interventions in the Chinese market, summarized into four parts: support to business firms and regional traders, consolidation of profitable institutional relations, organization of major promotional events, and the realization of a strong relationship in R&D based on collaboration between universities, research centers and institutions.
