(Jun. 14) Four players to draw a starring role for Benevento’s Sannio. A Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Chamber of Commerce of Benevento, the Gruppo di Azione Locale Taburno Consorzio, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada and Viatour World, a leading U.S. tour operator, will grant the presence of international tourists and business operators in the Sannio area. This is one of the results obtained from the institutional mission in Montreal, on the occasion of the ninth edition of Echo Italia in Canada. The partnership between Sannio and Canada will touch four different area: wine (focusing mainly on the promotion and marketing of Falanghina and Aglianico), dairy (with particular reference to the supply chain of cow’s milk), manufacturing excellence (starting from nougat, conserve, olive oil, jam) and tourism. To illustrate the contents of the mission, during a press conference at the Ente Camerale of Benevento: Gennaro Masiello, President of Chamber of Commerce of Benevento, Michele Pastore, President of Azienda Speciale Valisannio, Francesco Massaro, Coordinator of Agriculture Departments of Campania, and Mario Grasso, president of GAL Taburno. The meeting was also attended by Caterina Meglio, coordinator of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, Alessandro Mastrocinque, president of Italy’s CIA, and Antonio Catalano, Provincial President of the CNA.
