(Jul. 3) – It just started the entrepreneurial mission organized by Confindustria ANIE in Russia. The initiative, realized in collaboration with Promos-Chamber of Commerce of Milan, will see 17 companies on show in Moscow in two stages, one until tomorrow and another one from September 24th to 26th. The agenda includes more than 100 business meetings with local operators. A real opportunity for Italian companies, in particular those involved in the Railway Transport sector. In fact, just in June 2012, Russia’s state railways (RZD) have launched a development and modernization plan of the railway line which provides investments for 169 billion dollars, financed one third by the central government. Among the projects there is the construction of a high-speed line linking Moscow to St. Petersburg, which will be operational from 2018, coinciding with the FIFA World Cup. The railway line will cover a route of 658 km new tracks and will be specially designed for trains traveling at 400 km / h. The planned investment totaled about 35 billion dollars. Only for high-speed lines, the Russian Railways plans to invest around 78 billion dollars over the period 2012-2020, for a total of 4,300 km of new lines. (Red)
