(Jul. 31) – NossBalad.com, the first Palestinian sit-com, is the last result of the cooperation project Tam: Theatre and Multimedia Art, founded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and realized in Jerusalem by the Office of the Italian Cooperation. Over the years, the TAM projects has allowed the professionalization of many young Palestinians in the field of performing arts and multimedia. In the last months, some of these young professionals thought to realize a the first sit-com entirely produced in Jerusalem. They started to work at it at the end of 2011 and in March 2012 the pilot episode has been presented, with a great audience success. Thanks to that result, the team decided to continue the series and produce ten more episodes. This show represents a real breakthrough in the perception of Jerusalem and the living conditions of the Palestinian inhabitants of the city. Humor and irony can be an effective way to overcome stereotypes and labels and think about the city in different ways. (red)
