(Aug. 3) – After the huge success of “Il Comico (Sai che risate)”, for eleven consecutive weeks at the top of the radio charts, Cesare Cremonini will come back to Locarno a year after the concert held at the Festival “Moon and Stars” in 2011. Cremonini, one of the most acclaimed and interesting Italian pop artists of recent years, will be on stage next Sunday at the Film Festival, as author of the original songs for the film “I padroni di casa”, by Edoardo Gabbriellini. The film, starring Elio Germano, Valerio Mastandrea, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Gianni Morandi, is the only Italian one in competition. In the soundtrack there are two new songs by Cremonini: “Amor mio” (sung in the film by Gianni Morandi and contained in Cremonini’s last CD “La teoria die color”) and “Lascia il sole”. After the show in Locarno, Cremonini will start rehearsal his new tour “CesareCremonini Live 2012”, that will begin next October 26th from the Palaolimpico of Turin and that it will touch eleven Italian cities for eleven concerts in major stadiums. About his new release, Cremonini says that “the sounds of a CD is influenced by several factors and one of them is certainly the live show: the experiences made in recent years in concerts have changed my music. This new album is definitely the more ‘live’ I’ve ever written.” Cremonini’s main inspiration are the 60s: “In this album there is a set of worlds that touch me into deep. I wanted to keep mey music away from all the stereotypes and trends of the moment”. In “La teoria die color” Cremonini alternates pop moments (“Una come te”, “Non ti amo più”) to a more intimate songwriting (“L’uomo che viaggia fra le stelle”, “Il sole”). “In this album there is a variety of emotions, typical of the boy who becomes a man, as happened to me.” Particularly interesting is the text of “Il comico (sai che risate)”, where Cremonini emphasizes that “the figure of the comic has now entered the social state. If we think about it, in every group of people there is someone who’s funny, sarcastic and sometimes a source of truth. It’s a role in which I often recognize me, too.” (Red)
