(Aug. 3) – Todays sees the light the project started at the end of the dictatorship in Libya: a multi-specialized medical delegation from Italy, in fact, traveled to Libya to visit some hospitals where there will be a collaboration between Italian and Libyan doctors for the care of wounded and the development of medical education, as part of a wider program on health. Since 2011, many Libyans war wounded have been treated in Italy, in both public and private facilities, with a high-quality and comprehensive health care. Some Italian hospitals have been identified by Libyan health authorities as reference therapeutic centers, especially in Rome, at the Villa Pia Hospital, where an entire floor has been dedicated to the care of Libyan. Within the same program of clinical care, in the month of June, the Villa Pia Hospital has organized a meeting with two key members of the Libyan health sector, Dr Mohamed Alghouj, president of the Libyan Medical Association, and Dr. Nasserdin Azetouni, coordinator of Libyan patients in Italy.
