Oct. 2 – Liguria International, regional branch of the FILSE group, is promoting Liguria’s touristic destinations and cultural activities in Switzerland. Numerous local firms, including food processers and fashion designers, are participating in the Swiss expo, with the collaboration of Confartigianato. The Liguria Food and Fashion Event, held at the Le Richemond Hotel, is sponsored by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland and the Liguria Region. With over 800 participants, Liguria International is organizing a very successful event. The head of tourism for the Liguria Chamber of Commerce explains, “it’s the first time the Liguria Region and the “In Liguria” agency collaborate for an event abroad with Liguria International to promote all its touristic activities. And Switzerland is the best place to do so, because of its proximity to our region and the possibility to get in touch with local tour operators to put Liguria on their map.” The Region and the Agency will also promote the Off-Season Liguria brochure. Finally, particular attention will be dedicated to the new railway line that connects Nice, in France, with Ventimiglia, in Liguria, Cuneo and Turin, in Piedmont, and Zurich. The regional advisor, who will present the project tomorrow, firmly believes that it is a “unique opportunity to promote tourism from the Alps to the Mediterranean.”
