Oct. 2 – “The Paths of Parks” is the name of the cultural foot trail set up in Oltenia, Romania, for 24 young Italians from Trentino and Calabria and young Romanians. The foot trail event, a natural follow-up of the Trentino paths, which took place last summer, will take the participants in the various local natural reserves. The whole project aims at creating an intercultural and interreligious debate carried out in a sustainable tourism spirit. The event is sponsored by the Young Adult Policy office of the autonomous Trentino region, with a contribution by the Italian Minister for Young Adult policies. The group will visit the monasteries of Cozia, Turnu, Horezu, and Bistrita, and follow brief seminars on Christian Orthodoxy and Ecumenical religions. The idea behind the project was developed by the Trentino region in collaboration with the Italian government, and the aim is to export the combination of natural sight-seeing with spiritual debates in other Italian regions and Europe, and create paths connecting different parks in the region. The general goal is to help children become adults by accompanying them through the difficult stages of adolescence in a natural environment.
