Oct. 9 – Starting today, until October 15, the Tirana Polis University will host its first edition of Architecture Week, a project created by the Italian art critic Claudia Zanfi, professor at the Milan Domus Academy and visiting professor at the London Middlesex University. The event, possible thanks to the cooperation of the European Commission Art and Culture Program, hosts a rich calendar of exhibitions, conferences, urban intervention, and a contest for young artists and designers. Zanfi’s cultural lab, Amazelab, participates in the project with a series of seminars on the social nature of a culture used as a linguistic medium, as part of the Revival of City Squares in the Balkans program. The exhibition “Open City” collects a series of art works on the theme of public spaces as a place for encounters, exchanges, freedom and equity, by over 30 Balkan artists, including Pavel Braila, Calin Dan, Danica Dakic, Oliver Musovik, Anton Petrov, Tadej Pogacar, Igor Sovilj, Zaneta Vangeli, and Shoba.
