Oct. 29 – The Italian Food & Beverage event organized in Dublin’s BtoB by FIBI is a success. The food fair confirms the Irish love for Italy and its food. The winning recipe is BtoB: a series of direct encounters between Italian producers and Irish buyers, who can thus taste and test the products, get acquainted with Italian suppliers, and immediately initiate a fruitful partnership. This year, 15 firms from Italy participated, from Sardinia, Emilia Romagna, Campania, Lazio, Piedmont, Molise, Puglia and Liguria – each bringing typical products. The Irish were represented by 60 specialized importers, distributers, off-license shop owners, restaurants owners, and chain supermarket representatives. FIBI – the Federation of Italian Business in Ireland – is a connection structure between Italy and Ireland, reuniting networks of food and wine operators, among others. Its aim is to favor commercial exchanges between the two countries, and aid Italian firms in entering the Irish market.
