Jan. 4 – A few days ago, an agreement whereby the Italian Embassy in Brasília would become the primary laboratory for renewable energy in Brazil was signed. In fact, the solar and wind power generation projects that will take place in the Italian structure will provide valuable information on self-power. Not only are there 605 solar panels installed on the roof of the building, but the Embassy also received the first micro wind plant, and it has already ordered four more in the coming months. The data on the energy produced will be made public through an international network called GeseNet (Green Embassy Smart Energy Network). The agreement allows the collected data to be used by students of the University of Brasília (UnB) and at the Polytechnic University of Turin.
