Feb. 18 – For the first time, the Italian Publishers Association’s (AIE) training courses take place abroad, particularly in Bolivia, where a 17-day long project targets nascent educational publishing houses. “This project is a a source of pride for our publishing industry and the specific formation offered by AIE and Ediser – said AIE’s general manager Alfieri Lorenzon – Bolivia thought of us, and not of other (Spanish speaking) associations, as might seem more obvious, because it recognized that Italian school textbooks are of higher quality.” “Editorial Bienaventuranzas,” founded and run by the homonymous missionary community in February 2012, turned to the AIE about a year ago for a project that trains a publishing house’s staff across the board (editing, sales, marketing, production, etc..) on how to use organizational tools to manage more effectively and efficiently the production and distribution of textbooks for primary and secondary school.
