Apr. 29 – ICE, the Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian firms, has partnered up with the Association of Italian publishers, to organize the official Italian participation to the “BookExpo America.” The most important international event for the publishing industry, BookExpo America is the key occurrence for trading market rights in the United States, held between May 29 and June 1. The Italia pavilion will host 23 publishing houses on an area of about 111m2, and will serve as an info-point on Italian publishing, and a meeting point between Italian and foreign publishers. This year, the participation of Italian publishers to the event at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York takes on particular meaning, as it is the Year of Italian Culture in the United States (www.italyinus2013.org).
