Apr. 29 – An Italian business mission organized in Vilnius has shown that there are good market opportunities for Italian food and beverages, appreciated for their high quality and wide variety of products. The mission saw the entrepreneurs visit three Vilnius stores of the main supermarket chains, in order to raise understand the local distribution system, the types of products, their price, quality, and product penetration. Business to business meetings between representatives of Italian companies and Lithuanians buyers were also held, giving the opportunity to start the first trade agreements to bring Italian products to Lithuania. “This trade mission – says Francesca Camerlengo, communications manager of Strive – was really helpful to understand the dynamics of the Lithuanian economic system, and the margins of inclusion of our products. As always, Italian food is considered the best in the world for quality, tradition and typicality. It should be emphasized, in fact, that 90% of foreign food products present in Lithuania are real Italian products. That’s why there are good market opportunities for our products.”
