May 2 – Thirty journalists and buyers, selected by the local ICE Agency via the MoU signed with Unaprol, ventured in a guided taste testing of extra virgin olive oils, expression of the best Italian production. During the oil tasting, buyers and journalists had a chance to discover Redoro Frantoi Veneti of Grezzana (Vr), Società Agricola Trevi Il Frantoio di Trevi (Pg), Oleificio Guglielmi di Andria (Bat), Oleificio Cooperativo Paladino di Palo del Colle (Ba), presented by Fred Plotikn, author, journalist and writer for the New York Times. The event was preceded by a seminar on world market trends of olive oil, carried out at the headquarters of the Speciality Food Association, organizer of Fancy Food, at 136 Madison Avenue.
