May 6 – The Trentino winemaking is trying to carve itself a spot in overseas market, at a time when there is a strong focus wine’s export potential. From today until May 12, nine Trentino producers will be in New York for the international promotion of Consorzio Vini and Trentino Development – Tourism and Promotion in collaboration with the Department for Internalization. Thursday, May 9, at the Astor Center, Leslie Sbrocco, famous wine speaker for the American television and author of “Wine for Women” and a “walk around tasting” will host a seminar on mountain wines. The nine Trentino producers who are participating in the initiative are: Cantine Monfort, Concilio, Maso Martis, Cesconi, Gaierhof, Letrari, Endrizzi, Cantina Rotaliana di Mezzolombardo and La-Vis. The mission continues on May 10 at 11:30 am at the registered Rockefeller Center ENIT office, where the Trentino Summer Proposal will be put forth, to be followed by a wine tasting and buffet. Finally, on the same evening, at the Italy Bar on the Upper Eastside, “Trentini nel Mondo” is hosting a special dinner, with personalities from Trento dealing with catering, food and wine in New York City.
