June 20 – A delegation of Salerno contractors were accompanied by ANCE, the National Builders Association, its President Antonio Lombardi, the director Giovanni Veneri and the architect Vitantonio Troiani to meet the Algerian Deputy Minister of Finance Abdelkader Birtuki. The delegation discussed investment programs to be implemented in infrastructure and residential construction worth more than $485 billion that will be carried out in the next two years. President Lombardi presented to the Algerian government the Salerno companies interested in fully implementing the investment plan in full compliance with local laws, ensuring the highest technical, logistical and operational quality. The deputy Birtuki showed great interest and appreciation of the Italian companies, with whom the Algerian authorities have already had the opportunity to interact in the past in other areas of operation, with gratifying results. The Salerno delegation also visited some sites and took stock of the most relevant project that the Algerian Government intends to implement in the coming months. “We are extremely pleased – says the ANCE Salerno president – for the great availability and considerable interest shown by the Algerian government, in the person of the Deputy Minister Birtuki, in regard to the consortium of Salerno construction companies. We hope that the acquired important information on the rules and procedures for local businesses will bring new job opportunities to the Salerno companies in new markets, such as Algeria.”
