June 26 – Italian companies increase their internationalization thanks to Siaft, a project promoted by Unioncamere dedicated to food & beverages. Palazzo della Fonte in Fiuggi hosts for two days the 2013 Southern Italy Agrifood and Tourism. There will be more than 80 small and medium-sized enterprises from central and southern Italy trying to win over 25 buyers from Japan, Canada, Poland, France and Germany. With more than 2000 B2B meetings, the calendar of the event is characterized by 30 minutes encounters between buyers and sellers. The protagonists of these meetings will be high quality Italian products: mineral waters, cured meats, dairy products, preserves and sauces, confectionery products and pasta. “Italy’s strengths lie in its food and wine heritage, which receives growing appreciation around the world, and the Mediterranean diet as a model of a healthy and balanced diet – said the deputy secretary general of Unioncamere, Sandro Pettinato – The quality of Italian products is not limited only to its goodness and wholesomeness, but also to its safety and health guarantees, two assets often put at the forefront of producers’ selling strategy.”
