Aug. 28 – For small Italian ice cream, confectionery and coffee businesses the domestic market is thriving with nearly 30 thousand craft enterprises specialized in ice cream. And exports still represent an unexplored territory. For this reason, SACE, the Italian insurance and financial group, System Leader, a company specializing in financial advisory services for ice-cream and coffee supply chains, and Rimini Fiera, a leading trade fair in Italy, have recently signed an agreement to support a SIGEP project. Sigep is in fact establishing a platform for the internationalization of small ice cream, confectionery and coffee businesses, offering them a wide range of integrated services useful to strengthen their competitiveness and ability to grow abroad. For exports in this sector, the SACE press office said in a statement that there are “good prospects not only in Europe but also in the USA, Australia and the Far East. To take the necessary steps, it will be essential to identify appropriate targets and tools to support a sustainable growth strategy.” Sace, under an agreement with System Leaders and Rimini Fiera, will therefore allow easier access to its insurance and financial products and will pay a series of technical assistance initiatives, including the advice of its experts on Italian territory, for Sigep companies- Sigep, the great annual fair event dedicated to companies in the confectionery and ice cream supply chain, will be held in Rimini January 18-22, 2014. “In addition to protect them from the risks they are taking when they operate abroad – says the statement – the products of the SACE group enable companies to better manage cash flows and liquidity, obtain loans easily more and participate in calls for proposals and international competitions.”
