Sept. 20 – The University of Macerata will become the liaison point between Ukraine and Italy in the field of social sciences. In particular, during a meeting in Rome between the Dean Luigi Lacchè, the Ukrainian ambassador in Italy Yevgen Perelygi, and cultural attaché Nataliia Ternova, the Kiev government asked the Marche university to become the reference point of the academic relationship between the two nations in social sciences. “The proposal of the Ambassador – said the Dean – honors us and confirms the quality of the work done so far with our two international degrees. Italy is Ukraine’s first trade partner and there are also great opportunities in research and teaching. Many exporting Marche companies have relations with this country, an economy in constant growth. In this scenario, the University of Macerata is here at the service of the territory and its possible international projections.” The Ukrainian government approved the draft of the Association and Free Trade Agreement with the European Union. This new approach to Europe will also strengthen ties in research, particularly important for programs such as Horizon 2020.
