Oct. 11 – The Boxerin Club are ready to conquer the hear of all American indie-music fans. The young indie band from Rome will play on Saturday, October 19th, in New York at the Cmj Music Marathon, one of the most important exhibitions for new groups. And Matteo Iacobis, Matteo Domenichelli, Francesco Aprili, Gabriele Jacobini and Edoardo Impedovo- all between 21 and 24 – are ready to make their debut with the song “Caribbean Town,” the first single from their debut album entitled ” Boxerin Club Aloha Krakatoa ” to be released in January for Bomba Dischi. From today, the song “Caribbean Town” is on rotation on Radio 2 Rai and from next week it will be on sale in all Audioglobe digital stores. “Caribbean Town” is the manifesto of psychedelia and bittersweet melancholy that characterizes the band’s sound, who describes themselves as the “perfect mix of indie rock, folk and wild rhythms.” “Caribbean Town” is for Boxerin Club “not here and not now, but the romanticism of the nineteenth century: an exotic trip in the colors and smells of the distant Caribbean.” The young band came together in the winter of 2010, and heads to New York after winning the Arezzo Wave Festival. The Cmj Music Marathon – scheduled for October 15 -19 – is an important milestone, since each year more than 1,400 artists perform in 80 theaters, pubs and clubs around New York. The CMJ Music Marathon offers the opportunity to get a preview of the stars of the future, listen to new music, explore new styles and trends and be constantly informed about the musical world and its developments. It’s a mandatory event for music fans, labels, journalists and professionals: five days and nights of music, parties and business opportunities.
