Oct. 25 – Your idea for the country is an ItaliaCamp contest whose aim is to bring out the best Italian ideas for business and policy, and present them at UsaCamp, the ItaliaCamp international mission in New York and Washington scheduled for February 25-March 4, 2014. Until October 28, everyone can submit their project, and the best business ideas and winning start-ups will then be featured in the first barcamp at the New York Stock Exchange, where investors, venture capitalists and international business angels will test the solidity of the best Italian projects. The themes to be covered are: social innovation, health, environment and energy, robotics, security and IT solutions, bio / nanotechnologies, culture, art, design, fashion and food. The NYSE will later host the final presentation of the best new projects and development models, selected also taking into account the ethical and social sustainability of transatlantic funding with which to invest in new ideas of international economic growth. Until Oct. 28, however, the “call for ideas” is open for all citizens, startuppers, small and medium-sized enterprises, universities, schools, institutes and research centers, public and private associations and foundations interested in promoting “Made in Italy” in the world. “It’s our intention – said the President of the Association ItaliaCamp, Fabrizio Sammarco – to organize a round-trip: it will be a mission to present to the international community our new generations, strongly oriented towards the international scene and personal and general risk management for the implementation of their ideas. We want to invest in the creation of new jobs, rather than for the protection of jobs that no longer exist.”
