(Dec. 18) – After a stop in the most important Italian theaters “Ferite a morte (Wounded to death)”, the latest play by Serena Dandini, arriver to Washington. Written and directed by the italian anchorwoman, it tells stories of women who have lost their lives at hands of a husband, a friend, a lover or an ex partner. On the stage, along with Serena Dandini, other women take turns to give voice to the stories as true as dramatic. The project “Ferite a morte” supports the “Convenzione No More” against male violence against women: a proposal for a policy open to national and local realities. Violence against women is a fundamental issue for the international community, according to a report published last June by the World Health Organization. More than a third of women worldwide are affected by physical or sexual violence, of which 38% at hands of the partner.(red)
