Nov. 25 – “Our faith in love and justice calls us to build a better world, and restore to the world the good that we once had, so that even the most disadvantaged of us have a chance to live a life full of opportunities and beauty.” This is the message that Andrea Bocelli – one of the most famous Italian singers around the world – is launching through his foundation’s website. The Andrea Bocelli Foundation recently attracted the attention of the greatest experts and researchers in the field of economics and technology from around the world, but was rather established to help people in need: illnesses, disabilities, poverty and social exclusion. And on December 6, the Foundation will head to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to discuss and share the results of a joint program. The one-day workshop will see the participation of international personalities in fields of scientific and technological research and development economics. After last July’s success in Pisa, this is the second meeting that the Andrea Bocelli Foundation organizes in order to disseminate its results and to foster dialogue and research. For its cultural value, innovation and development, the appointment has been included in the official program of the celebration of the Year of Italian Culture in the US.
