Nov. 26 – Salvatore Ferragamo announced the reopening of his historic flagship store in Hong Kong’s Mandarin Oriental. Located in the heart of one of the most exclusive international shopping areas, the store was opened in 1986 and quickly became a real landmark in the city. The flagship store, which will now cover an area of about 350 square meters, showcases men and women collections, and is divided into dedicated areas for different product categories: shoes and bags, glasses ad perfumes, watches and silk, accessories and jewelry… “The interior of the boutique – said the group in a statement – wants to channel luxury and elegance, Ferragamo style, sober and refined, and developed according to the Salvatore Ferragamo concept in worldwide stores. The colors, the furniture and the structure of the spaces have been carefully calibrated to envelop guests in an intimate environment and offer a contemporary shopping experience.” For the reopening of the flagship store, Salvatore Ferragamo officially introduced in Greater China “The Ferragamo Icon,” an online project designed to celebrate and rediscover Vara, the most well-known women’s shoe. For the initiative, photographer Cedric Buchet created a series of shots capturing iconic women, who reinterpreted in their personal style Vara and the Varina.
