Nov. 27 – Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo, and Aglianico are just the most famous white wines from Irpinia. These wines helped make their land famous in the world for its fertility and quality. And it is no coincidence that the presentation of the new vintage white wines of Irpinia has drawn the attention of the national and international press. A delegation of journalists flew to Sidigas Scandone Avellino for the “Campania Stories – White Wines” initiative. Journalists Isao Miyajima from L’Espresso and Mayumi Nakagawara of Winart of Japan, Anders Levander, Livets Goda and DinVinGuide from Sweden, Giampaolo Gravina, vice-editor of the Espresso Wine Guid, and Paolo De Cristofaro from Gambero Rosso greeted and wished the Irpina team the best of luck for the rest of the season. They then symbolically toasted with the new Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo vintage wines, which they had previously savoured during “Campania Stories.”
