Jan. 1 – In Ljubljana, Slovenia, a technical cooperation agreement in the field of civil aviation was signed between the Director General of ENAC, Alessio Quaranta, and the General Authority for Civil Aviation of the Republic of Slovenia, Ziga B. Kotnik . At the basis of the agreement there is the recognition of the importance of a collaboration between EU Member States, aimed at developing the sector and overcoming the traditional national approach in favor of a more integrated European perspective. The memorandum represents a significant strengthening of the already excellent relations between the two countries in the field of civil aviation. The objective is therefore to increase this understanding on the basis of a bilateral cooperation oriented towards new challenges and the implementation of international standards in the industry. These standards have been set by the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) and the ECAC (European Civil Aviation Conference).
