Mar. 17 – Vienna was once the capital of a great empire, and its glorious past remains can still be appreciated in the great beauty and elegance of its architecture. And Vienna’s splendor and grace are qualities that Salvatore Ferragamo, one of the most well-known luxury brands in the world, is matching. Near the former residence of the emperor, in Kohlmarkt 7, Ferragamo opened its boutique back in 2003; and now it is opening again, with a whole new look. The store is housed in a historic building of the late nineteenth century, in the typical architectural style of the period, characterized by important decorations and a magnificent facade. “The renewal of the historic flagship store in Vienna is part of the growth plan of the Ferragamo Group, which, in addition to the opening of new flagship stores, also provides for a revision and an expansion of its retail space in major cities,” says Michele Norsa, CEO of Salvatore Ferragamo, also highlighting how Vienna “for its location and for its Central European vibe, is living through a business renaissance, thanks to its easy access to markets in Eastern Europe and Asia.” The new store consists of an area of about 370 square feet and separates different product areas thanks to mirrors and golden travertine. The entrance gives space to bags and accessories; the shop then continues with a selection of footwear. Another room presents the men’s collections in a setting that gives a more masculine vibe, with walnut paneling and lacquered oak flooring. Nothing is left to chance in the quest for perfection – typical of the best Salvatore Ferragamo tradition, which began when he was studying anatomy in the US, and he uncovered the secrets of comfortable shoes, secrets that continue to fascinate the world today.
