(Apr. 28th) From tomorrow to May 4th, Philosopher Gianni Vattimo will be in Colombia for a series of conferences. The meetings, organized by the Institute of Italian Culture in Bogotá in collaboration with the Universidad Sergio Arboleda, the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango and the Instituto de Estudios en Comunicaciòn y Cultura, will be held in Cartagena and Bogotá. In the first two meetings, scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday, the philosopher from Turin will host a lecture entitled “La tecnica oltre la democrazia?”. Tomorrow, at 3 pm, he will be at the Universidad Tecnológica Bolivariana of Cartagena, and then on April 30th, at 5pm, at the Instituto de Comunicaciones de la Universidad Nacional in Bogotá. In the following days, Vattimo will intervene during the second meeting of “Las Ciencias Humanas y Tecnológicas para la integración en el Conosur Internacional del conocimiento: diálogos en nuestra América” in the Colombian capital city. On Thursday, at 11 am, the Italian philosopher will attend the opening conference “L’umanità nell’era della sua riproducibilità tecnica”, and later will participate in the afternoon, at 18, panel titled “Riflessioni sulle nuove tecnologie in America Latina”, along with Mauricio Beuchot, Andrea Cortés-Boussac, Diego Lawer, María del Rosario Guerra de la Espriella, Iván Garzón. Finally, on May 4th at 10.30 am, Vattimo will close his series of Colombian meetings with the Conference “Ontologia del mondo digitale” at the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango do Bogota. (red)
