(28 apr) “Goodbye Australia”: this is the title of the letter released on his official website by Alessandro Del Piero. It closes the experience of the Italian player in in Sydney. A farewell after two years in the land of kangaroos, a good bye less painful than the previous one, when he left Juventus after 19 long years. But Australia, even if sporting results did not arrive, has always acclaimed Alex Del Piero. In his letter he explains the reasons for his choice: “Even with a bit of sadness , because I had a really good time in here. I have communicated my decision to the club. I’m really grateful for the last two years and for the club’s request for me to remain and with whom, I am happy to explore new opportunities to continue our relationship. It hasn’t been an easy choice, also because my life on and off the pitch has been fantastic, my family and I have really enjoyed these two wonderful years: Australia will remain in our hearts forever” For the moment, that’s for sure, on August 10th Del Piero will be on the field as captain of the A-League All Stars against his Juventus: for Alex will be a double dip into the past.
