May 6 – From Veneto comes a show of solidarity towards Ukraine: 8 Ukrainians landed early in the morning at the Canova airport of Treviso. Most had been wounded in the clashes and will be treated in Veneto hospitals. Their treatment was authorized after the President of the Region, Luca Zaia, accepted the request made to him by the Consul General of Ukraine in Milan, Andrii Kartysh, during a bilateral meeting. The Honorary Consul of Ukraine for Triveneto, Marco Toson, welcomed the wounded. “Whenever we receive this type of requests – said Zaia – Veneto always answers.” The eight patients display signs of diseases that could not have been treated appropriately in Ukraine, and almost all show signs on their bodies of armed and violent conflict.
