Brussels – On May 26 Brussels will host the presentation of the Italian Cooperation Disability Action Plan. The event will be attended by the Director General of the Italian Cooperation, Giampaolo Cantini, and is organized in collaboration with the Italian Network for Disability and Development (RIDS) and the International Disability and Development Consortium. The goal of the roundtable is to share best practices with other Member States and key EU institutions to encourage debate on disability and inclusive development, as well as help implement the overall Post 2015 development goals. The Disability Action Plan was launched in October last year to ensure the full and effective implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and to set the framework standards to effectively reach the most vulnerable and marginalized people around the world.
