May 26 – Made in Italy boosts its presence abroad. The latest success in terms of visibility and achieved results was Italy’s participation at “Thaifex,” held in Bangkok May 21-25. After taking part in the 17th edition of Cibus (which ended on May 8), Fiere di Parma took 50 Italian food companies to “Thaifex – World of Food,” in Bangkok – the hub from where to enter the food markets of South East Asia. The initiative is part of Cibus’ marketing and promotion strategy and serves to prepare for the Expo 2015 pavilion dedicated to the food industry, run by Federalimentare and Fiere di Parma. “This is the second time we participate in Thaifex – said Elda Ghiretti, Cibus Brand Manager – and the Italian Project Area was a success. Italian companies agreed to follow us and explore the potential of the ASEAN market, which is expected to become fully operational in 2015. In this area, Italian food products are an important point of reference for both the horeca and retail channels.”
