May 29 – From tomorrow until June 15, Madrid is the capital of books and home to the 73rd Feria del Libro. Within the event, thanks to the Italian Institute of Culture, on June 7 at 11:30 am historian Daniele Ceschin, expert on World War I, and writer Andrea Molesini, author of “Non tutti i bastardi sono di Vienna” (Sellerio, 2010), winner of the Campiello Prize, will talk of the events that followed the Italian defeat at Caporetto. The speakers will offer, from a historical and literary perspective, a paradigmatic vision of the Great War as a distortion of the human condition and of a world in its twilight. They will advance a reflection on individuals, forced to face the horrors of the war.
