Washington – The Nobel Prize for Literature Mario Vargas Llosa, the three-time Oscar winner Vittorio Storaro, and the award-winning writer Alessandro Baricco will give a lecture as part of “Italian Culture – The Journey Goes On.” After the Year of Italian Culture in 2013, the US continues to explore Italy’s traditions, thanks to hundreds of initiatives promoted by the Embassy, the Consulates and the Cultural Institutes. And today Washington DC residents will have the opportunity to embark on a truly unique virtual journey. The event kicks off at 4pm at Gaston Hall in Georgetown University for a lecture on the “Journey into the World of Fiction and Fantastic Film.” The event is organized in collaboration between the Italian Embassy in Washington and Georgetown University’s English Research Institute.
