Houston – “An espresso is what is most lacking on the International Space Station.” We’ve heard this comment several times by Italians astronauts, who for 13 years come and go from the International Space Station. And today their desire-is about to become reality. Argotec and Lavazza are working in partnership with the Italian Space Agency (ASI) to bring the authentic Italian espresso on the International Space Station. So, captain of the Air Force Samantha Cristoforetti, engaged in the mission Futura, the second long-term mission of the Italian Space Agency on the station, could be not only the first Italian woman to go into space but also the first astronaut ever to drink an authentic Italian espresso in the space.
