Munich – After more than 11 days, or 275 hours, stuck at 980 meters deep in the cave Hohle Riesending-Schacht, the largest cave in Germany, the German speleologist was evacuated thanks to the joint efforts of the National Mountain Rescue (CNSAS) and the Austrian, Swiss, German, and Croatian cave rescue services. Some 109 Italian technicians also took part in the operation, working ten-hour shifts to carry the stretcher. (9Colonne)
