June 25 – The modern Potsdamer Platz will be yet again host to the second edition of Berlitalia, the Made in Italy exhibition with the slogan “A journey through Italy… in the center of Berlin.” Much like last year, the Italian culture rendezvous is for September 5-7. Thousands of visitors are expected: in 2013, 30.000 people took part in the event, and this year the event will last a day longer. Italy and the legendary 1980s will take the stage, thanks to a partnership with American photographer Charles Traub, who recently published for Damiani a documentary and a photographic exhibition entitled “Dolce Via: Italy in the 1980s.” The project is an overview of Italy and Italian fashion during the decade. On September 7, the guest of honor of Berlitalia 2014 will be Italian singer Etta Scollo, winner of the Ruth – Der deutsche Weltmusikpreis in 2007.
