(July 2) It is called “Sirena (Siren) and her voice came up to France. But this is not a mythological creature, it’s a scientific project developed in Trento that has fascinated the French ICT. The project, which consists of the development of a sensor network that uses advanced technology to verify the electromagnetic signals in real time in an automatic and non-invasive conditions of a complex structure, has been developed at the Department of Engineering and Information Sciences (Disi) from the University of Trento. Andrea Massa, professor and coordinator of the Disi, received a professorship by Digiteo, the leading French network in the field of ICT which encompasses numerous agencies, universities, research institutes and consortia. The one from the university Trentino was the only international proposal to be funded in 2014.
