July 10 – The Danube flows to the sound of Italian music, as Italian artists participate in the Sziget Festival in Budapest, which will take place August 11-18. The Sziget is one of the major European music festivals that attracts every year about 400.000 people with 7 days of non-stop music. Caparezza, Aucan, Salmo, Diodato and Rumatera will perform on the Europe Stage organized by Sziget Festival and L’Alternativa in collaboration with Puglia Sounds. The Europe Stage was born from the Puglia Sounds Mambo Stage, which, over the past two years, has hosted Erica Mou, LnRiplay, Mama Marjas, I Ministri, Fabryka, Bud Spencer Blues Explotions, Punkreas, iori’s eyes and many others. The stage is entirely dedicated to international music, with an area of over 1000sqm for stage performances, the Puglia Village and its numerous workshops and activities related to the cultural traditions of Puglia, and a large camping area. “This is a prestigious international showcase for Italian music – reads a note – that this year will be represented by some of the most interesting Italian artists, and a significant presence of Apulian artists.” Italian music will also be represented on the World Village Stage, where on August 15 the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino will perform and where on August 12 the Bloody Beetroots will perform on stage A38.
