Chicago – Versalis (Eni) has signed a Cooperation Agreement with CB&I, the leading US-based engineering and industrial services company. CB&I will market and provide engineering services for Versalis’ low density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethyl vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) technologies in North America. CB&I will be able to offer both tubular and autoclave high pressure processes, which will enhance the range of products at Versalis’ LDPE and EVA plants and add a high-quality product mix capable of meeting any market needs. The Versalis LDPE and EVA technologies complement CB&I’s olefins processes and polypropylene technologies, and, thanks to this new agreement, will be industrialized and enhanced in North America and Mexico. The two companies have already partnered for other petrochemicals processes. (9colonne)
