Paris – Until September 7, the Pinacothèque de Paris hosts the exhibition “The Myth of Cleopatra”, dedicated to Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator, Queen of Egypt and the last member of the Ptolemaic dynasty, lover of Julius Caesar and Marcus Antonius’ wife, who had an exceptional and legendary life. The exhibition begins with the exception of the Ptolemaic period and is followed by the birth of the myth in the ancient Rome. Paintings, sculptures and costumes used during the filming of the movie show how the myth grew in the history of art. (9colonne)
