July 31 – The first iPhone app that selects the best Italian restaurants in the world was developed by Gambero Rosso, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. The application is available in Italian and English, and was officially presented yesterday in Rome at Città del Gusto, in the presence of Raffaele Borriello, head of the Technical Secretariat of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Paolo Cuccia, President of Gambero Rosso, with assistance of chefs Heinz Beck, Annie Feolde and Alfonso Iaccarino, and Riccardo Monti, President of the ICE Agency. “The excellence of our products is known around the world – said Cuccia – Gambero Rosso has always been careful to research and develop in directions that contribute to the best of Italian cuisine and the best of Italian wines, enhancing simultaneously tradition and novelty. The app will show that Italy is able to seize multi-channel and new media opportunities, and will become an important ally for the dissemination of Made in Italy.”
