Brussels – Venice and the great legacy of Jewish culture take the stage in Brussels for Jewish New Year, a few months after the attack at the Jewish Museum shook the “capital of Europe.” “Out to sea. A reflection over 500 years: 1516-2016” was the heart of the Rosh Hashanah celebrations that took place at the European Jewish Community Centre. The exhibition, organized by the Veneto Region in conjunction with the Jewish Museum and the Jewish community in Venice, along with the European Jewish Community Centre in Brussels and the European Jewish Association, celebrates Jewish history in Venice as a symbol of successful integration through the ages, highlighting a relationship that marked Italian and European culture. The event received the patronage of the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and the support of the Presidency of the European Union. (9Colonne)
